School Dog

We are extremely lucky to have our very own school Dog called Ruby who is a beautiful Goldendoodle (a cross of a Golden Retriever and Poodle) who we all love very much.

Our School Council decided that they wanted a school pet and researched a variety of different ideas.  They decided that Ruby was a perfect at school and Ruby joined us in January 2016, when she was 14 weeks old.

She brings us joy in school everyday and the children get to spend time with her in numerous ways.

These are some of the things the children say about having a school dog.

"Our dog Ruby is so furry and lovely!"

"She feels like a teddy bear."

"When you stroke Ruby she is calm."

"Ruby is good to cheer people up."

"I was frightened of dogs before but now I love Ruby."

"If we feel poorly or sad we go to the office ruby comes to cuddle you to make you feel better."

"Ruby comes into our class and we read to her."

"If you don't have a pet at home - you have Ruby."

"Ruby helps us to learn how to look after animals."

"She is happy to see you when you feel sad."
