STEM WEEK

5th February 2018

STEM Week

5th - 9th February 2018

We will end the first half term of 2018 with Sacred Science!

The main theme of STEM week this year is to develop our Science Capital.

Each class will be involved in a variety of exciting, engaging activities to aid their enthusiasm and appetite for critical thinking within the subjects of

Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.

During this week the children will;

  • Design a new invention in their role as ‘engineer’ and enter their ideas to the Primary Engineering COMPETITION.

  • Visit the Discovery Museum with their class to explore the

    Big 5 inventors and Science Maze.

  • Take part in the Global experiment – Mission Starlight with children from all over the World with input from Science Ambassadors.

  • Be given extended time to use technology and explore E-Safety.

  • Bring home a science experiment as homework to carry out with the whole family.

If you have any expertise or indeed are an engineer yourself, we would love your help. Please contact Mrs Hall to make arrangements.

Please join us on Thursday 8th in the hall at 2.30pm for tea and coffee, where children from each class will show case their work with our very own class Science Ambassadors.
